We SURVIVED week one of school. So far, Kennedy loves it. She already has several friends, a little boy that winks at her in the hall, and an invitation to a luau. Needless to say she has been busy this week. She loves the surprises she finds everyday when she opens her lunch box, the fun games she is learning in PE, and of course, her teacher. We are so proud of her...she did not cry not once. I can't say the same for me. Thursday was my first "official" drop off and leave at kindergarten day so I was a little teary eyed when I left but she was fine. At this point in time our biggest struggle is the hunger and exhaustion after school. Once she finishes her left overs from lunch in the car she passes out until we get home.
Here is a week in review...
Monday--super excited!!
After waking up when we got home from picking up Collin she immediately began crying..."I thought I told you I wanted Chicken Express and I LIKE NAPS!!!"---too funny.
Tuesday--ready to do it again.
Great night, no fits, asleep by 7:45.
Wednesday--Getting tired.
Not ready to get up Thursday--"Mommy I just want to sleep late tomorrow" -- me too.
Thursday--suppose to be Daddy's day but we ALL went to eat donuts and walk her in.
MAJOR MELTDOWN
Friday--excited that she gets to sleep late Saturday.
So happy we had an all green week---now off to spend the night with NANA..
We are so proud of her and hope she continues to enjoy the next 170 days...Yes I am counting. :-)
