Our baby had her first day of kindergarten today. The day started off super early with eggs and biscuits. Once our bellies were full we ran around the house getting all the finishing touches on before we headed off to school. Kennedy woke up excited about kindergarten and the fact she did not have to take a nap.
(you know the important things)....
Here she is all dressed up with her Hello Kitty bags.
Here is our big girl beside her cubby getting ready to go into Mrs. Masters room.
Mrs. Masters had play dough ready at the table for the kids. She was very happy to open it up and start playing. Collin wanted to get down and play with all of the colorful things that were around the room. After a few more hugs and kisses we were off.
I was able to see Kennedy in the hall, especially since she was in the front of the line (LINE LEADER on the first day...what are the odds??) I have lunch duty during part of her lunch time so on the days that I am at school I get to see her at lunch. She was so excited about what we packed and getting to see me...I have to admit I was very excited to see her too.
After school was over we had a little snack in my room. We headed to Rockwall to get Collin then home for some dinner.
This is what I saw in the back seat....
She told me when we got home she likes naps ....I never thought I would hear that from her. Kennedy said she loved Mrs. Masters and her first day was GREAT. That makes us so happy. We hope everyone else had a GREAT first day back too.
