Spring in Texas means grab your bat and glove, it's time for some baseball. My nephew joined a team this year so we were loading up and heading out. Kennedy and I had to make a quick stop before we could sit in the dust and sun today.
Kennedy had her first full mani-pedi. Needless to say she loved it and wants to go back all of the time. If you feel like she is deprived because she hasn't been back since her first trip...I am accepting donations ;-). Oh, and if she gets one ....me too.
Since moving out of my mom and Bobby's house in December, I think Papa and Collin were longing for some guy time. They picked up right where they left off. I know Collin misses Papa. And from the way Papa lights up...I think he misses Collin too.
Now that our nails are properly done, the "boys" are reunited, it's time to PLAY BALL! My nephew Austin hasn't played in a few years so he was a little nervous. HE would NEVER admit it because he is at the "I am 14 and know so much more than you/I am not nervous" stage. 14!!! When did that happen? Most of you remember when he was born or when he started school, now he's going in to high school. There is something just not right about that. He did a good job... Not exactly sure of his stats but we were proud of him.
That's not the same outfit, is it? Nope, my little man was getting cold on the ball field. As many of you have heard...if Collin gets cold his lips turn blue. It is an unsettling feeling for me. We have had it checked out... He is perfect minus the fact that he turns a lovely shade of blue when he gets too cool.
Now that he's all warm...just taking a stroll.
About an hour and a half later it was time to head out. This time Collin was with his uncle Scott. I have to share a funny story. I am a bit over protective and uptight about a few things. While in the dirtiest restroom in the free world, Collin was near the field with Papa. Scott told my mom...if Traci saw that she would freak out...so he promptly went and picked up Collin and moved him to a safer location. If you know me and Scott you understand the importance and humor in that story. I personally thought that was too funny.
Well "our" team didn't win but we had a great time cheering you on...so I will leave you with this.
For it's ONE, TWO, THREE strikes you're out at the OLD BALL GAME!!
