I had to go by the house on Thursday to make some decisions about how I want the closet to be laid out. Of course when I go to the house to make "simple" decisions they are anything but simple. I was alone with Collin and tons of workers. I should have known things were not going to be simple when I was trying to push a stroller up the rutted front yard so I didn't have to wrestle Collin the entire time. I get there and immediately Collin is squeling (not the excited kind) and I have people asking me very important questions about wood floors, trim, doors, and closet layouts... I finally made all of the decisions and we were out of there. Hopefully the decisions I made were ok because it's too late to change it now. :-)
Here are a few pictures from the inside...did I tell you we have walls now.
The view when you walk in from the entry...this is the living room looking toward the kitchen/dining room.
Collin's room
Kennedy's room
One of the kids closets...there are shoe boxes in there too...you just can't see them
Here is a picture looking down the hall toward the kids rooms. You can see the wood floors and the linen closet at the end of the hall.
The next few pictures are from the master bedroom. The trim was installed along with doors in to the master bath.
This week there have soooo many things started and completed I am in shock.
1. Hardwoods installed --- have to be distressed and stained
2. Trim and doors installed -- need to be painted
3. Outside brick and stone installed --- grill on back porch needs to be installed
4. Regular texture complete --- skip trough texture started
5. Fire place and bar stone work installed but it will all be removed and redone...they used the wrong sand so the mortar color is awful and we are using different stone so the fireplace, bar in the kitchen, and stone arch over the cooktop will match
6. Septic system being installed
I think things are looking great. I am soo excited and ready to see the final product. If things are not too wet my cabinets are supppose to be installed this weekend. Then on to the fun stuff...colors, stains, counters, and fixtures. I am always looking for an exuse to go by the house so if ever you want to see it in person just let me know ;-)
